Tour de Prambanan 2010

Based on the schedule I had made for this semester, Tuesday became the second free day other than Sunday of course ^^.. I and my friends from the SIRKEL Laboratory want to make a touring plan on Tuesday, February 9th 2010 (altough it's not clear yet which place we'll be visit tomorrow) to fill our spare time because practical activities in the laboratory has not yet begun, so we're not too busy with teaching activities in the laboratory...

Rasya originally had an idea to visit the Riza's home that was located in Bantul and continue the tour to the South coast. But this plan has not fixed yet because of the uncertainty who will come with us. So, in the evening I tried to contact some of my friends from the SIRKEL Laboratory and invited them to join the tour tomorrow morning. I send short message to all of my 6 SIRKELers friend and only 4 people that give a reply, they are Rasya, Riza, Faiz, and Rio while Andhi and Aulia have not given a reply. We plan to leave at 9 am and gathered at the Riza's home at Kaliurang street KM 5.

The next day, according to the culture of Indonesian society in general ('molor'), all of my friends come and fully assembled at 11 am. There are Andhi, Faiz, Rasya, Rio, Riza, include myself and we use 3 motorcycles. Because due to the D-day we did not have plans at all, the tour plans will be discussed at the nearest food stall while waiting for me and andhi have a breakfast.. After taking long discussion and some consideration, the final decision is Prambanan temple become the destination of our tour today.. ^^

Prambanan is the ninth century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound located approximately 18 km east of Yogyakarta city on the boundary between Yogyakarta and Central Java province. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, currently is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the towering 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples.

Far beyond my expectations, Prambanan temple just a few minutes from the city center (only about 45 minutes I think). Next we went into the temple area and took a picture together, including photos with the three foreign tourists (they are sexy and beautiful ^^v). After feeling tired and the weather also started overcast, we decided to go home and leave the Prambanan temple. Along the way back we look for lunch before returning to our boarding houses.

First post on 2010, happy new year... ^^

Whewww, sepertinya udah lama ni blog gag keurus iaak... ^^ Sebelumnya saya mau ngucapin met taun baru 2010 (walopun udah sangat klewat, hehe..). Sebenarnya tahun ini saya ingin merayakan tahun baru di rumah bareng keluarga atau teman-teman SMA (jaman dulu) yang rencananya mau ngadain acara sendiri, karena sebagian besar sudah pada liburan semester ganjil T_T (saya UAS aja belum, mereka malah udah pada liburan). Tetapi rencana untuk pulang ke rumah akhirnya batal karena si pacar mau kesini dan merayakan tahun baru bareng di jogja. Sebenarnya sudah tiga tahun ini sejak saya tinggal di Jogja, kami selalu merayakan tahun baru bareng di sini bersama teman-teman SMA yang juga berada di Jogja.

Hari itu, Kamis 31 Desember 2009 kebetulan bertepatan dengan rapat rutin Lab.SIRKEL yang biasanya berlangsung agak lama. Sebelumnya si pacar sudah berencana untuk datang ke Jogja (dari Semarang) jam 5an sore dan sudah menanyakan apakah saya bisa menjemputnya atau tidak. Karena saya mengasumsikan kemungkinan rapat tidak akan memakan waktu sampai jam segitu, maka saya iyakan saja ^^. Ternyata anggapan saya salah, rapat baru selesai jam 5 lebih dan si pacar pun harus menunggu jemputan lebih lama dari yang direncanakan (plus sedikit marah, hehe...).

Malamnya, kami berencana untuk merayakan tahun baru di kawasan Mc.D deket kalicode sama seperti tahun sebelumnya karena bingung juga menentukan arah tujuan mengingat beberapa jalan dan objek di Jogja menjadi macet karena banyaknya kendaraan baik dari dalam maupun pendatang yang menyerbu objek peayaan tahun baru. Daripada nantinya kejebak macet, mending cari amannya saja ^^...
